St Rita's is a Catholic Primary School belonging to a community of over 130 Catholic Schools engaged in the educational ministry of the Church in the Archdiocese of Brisbane.
We are called to:
Teach: We promote faith in Jesus Christ, learning and teaching about Jesus, the gospel and the faith of the Catholic Christian community. Learning is lifelong, life-giving and engages the whole person.
Challenge: Inspired by the Holy Spirit, we challenge those we educate to live in communication with God, others and the whole of creation in prayerful, sacramental, just, peaceful, inclusive and reconciling communities.
Transform: We educate for a transformed world in communion, by nurturing the gifts and potential of each person, enacting shared leadership, and exercising a preferential option for the poor and the marginalised.
St Rita’s Catholic Primary School draws its enrolments from the following geographical areas:
Enrolments are called for.
Family interviews are held with the Principal or a member of the school Administration Team;
Placements will be offered;
An enrolment fee is required to confirm this placement.
Semester 2 -
New Parent Orientation Sessions are held;
Orientation Days for Prep and Year One;
Letters of Invitation will be sent prior to these days. This usually occurs late October.
A non-compulsory preparatory year operates in all Queensland schools.Year 1 begins compulsory schooling in Queensland.
Children eligible for Prep turn 5 by 30 June in the year they start Prep.
