Last Friday we held our commissioning ceremony for our Yr 6 Leaders, they represented themselves beautifully during the liturgy.
Student Leadership roles are an important part of life at St Ritas’s, they provide opportunities for student voice in the everyday life of our community. There's no better feeling than being a part of a mission and our Yr. 6 students are ready for their mission, their opportunity to positively impact our community through their leadership.
It is our hope that during their time of leadership here at St Rita’s they learn the art of building relationships within teams and completing tasks successfully. Leadership also provides opportunities for them to learn to display effective communication and interpersonal skills.
We know that good leaders empower others, it is our Yr 6’s actions that will impact others and influence them and empower them to follow your example. We want them all to be inspirational in the way they lead this year.
I want to thank our Yr. 6 leaders for embracing the awesome responsibility of leadership and accepting the greatest mission that I believe a young person can take up. Congratulations to each of them, and to their families.
I would like to also extend my sincere thanks to our Year 6 staff and our School Officers for their hard work, dedication, and commitment in helping to prepare and organise the students and this ceremony and for all they have done and will do to support the 2021 Y6 students.
