School Parent Network

Coming up early next term will be some whole school events sponsored by the St Rita’s Parent Network. We are lucky to have some mums who have already put up their hand to be coordinators for these activities, we now need volunteers to help them behind the scenes. This year we are asking for everyone to help out with ‘just one thing’. With 300+ families in the school, everyone volunteering for one thing would mean we can continue to hold the school events that are so well loved and part of the St Rita’s tradition.

Whole school disco for Friday 3 May.
School staff will be providing supervision for the night with parents organising food and drinks. Tara, one of our SPN parents, will be the coordinator for serving food and drinks. It would be great to have several parents helping out for an hour on the night to ensure that students are served promptly.  Please contact Tara on 0410 528 581 if you are able to help out.

Mother’s Day Morning Tea Friday 10 May
We will host a liturgy on Friday 10 May to honour our mums, grandmothers, aunts and those special women in our lives who we couldn’t live without. Traditionally, we call on our dads, uncles and grandfathers to come along to help serve a morning tea for these special ladies. Our SPN coordinator  for the Mother’s Day liturgy is Annaliese. Please contact her on 04355688336 if you are able to help out, donating a small amount of time can take the pressure of others.

Walk to School day on Friday 17 May.
Natasha, one of our SPN parents, is organising the event this year and is asking for leaders to lead the walks. One group will walk from Shark's and one will walk from Thompson's beach. We are also calling out for helpers to cut up the fruit that will be offered to the walkers once they are at school. This will be done on the afternoon prior to the walk. If you would like to volunteer to be a walk leader or to help prepare the food, please phone Natasha on 0458 009 780.
